1/125 sec @ f10, 60mm.

1/250 sec @f8, 75mm.

All of these are now installed at the new and improved Ticky-Gallery. One of these days, i’ll get around to renaming the images.

OK, I’m simultaneously an idiot and an anti-idiot. I managed to both kill Joomla and resurrect it- but not before also installing WordPress and Gallery on ticky-box.com. In trying to upgrade the Joomla installation, somehow the database got corrupted- and it wasn’t until going through all sorts of other work i thought to look for something as simple as database backups.

Well, after having something weird happen causing Joomla to basically eat itself, I’ve switched, at least temporarily, to WordPress. We’ll see if i ever take the time to un-bugger up Joomla or not- actually, it seems to be the DB backup created in the process of updating which somehow managed to completely bugger itself up.

It’s a little annoying, but there wasn’t anything there of really lasting importance to begin with, so there’s no real loss.

Little monster’s eating a piece of chocolate, and, as usual, looking as if he’s up to something.

Detail, damage to ship’s bow. Sony Alpha 100, 75-300 mm lens. ~1/50 sec, f8 @210mm.

I think the bow of this ship blew into a bollard during a windstorm- this hole as roughly 1.5-2 metres above the waterlevel on the port bow, just aft of the prow. A larger view of the damage (ISO 250, f8, 1/125 @75mm) can be seen here.

Took some pictures with the new camera at the Centre for Wooden Boats and South Lake Union Park today. Very, very pleased with the outcome. Will show off some of the images later tonight or tomorrow.

Well, the Senators didn’t fall out of the playoffs, but certainly backed in. Looks like they’ll play the Penguins or Canadiens in the first round. The Red Wings, complete with shiny new President’s Trophy, will open at home against the Nashville (soon to be Seattle?) Predators. In local hockey news, the Seattle (soon to be Kent) Thunderbirds travelled to Kennewick, and blasted the Tri-City Americans, 7-1.
